You hold others through the hardest moments of their lives. This circle exists so that someone holds you too.
Compass Care Circle is a monthly gathering for helpers, volunteers, and community caregivers connected to Higher Ground Outreach and the HopeWoven program. Each session runs approximately two hours and weaves together an evidence-based practice, a hands-on activity, seasonal food and drink, and something to take home.
Sessions are grounded in the seasons, varied across the year, and designed to build real skills that helpers can use long after they leave the circle.
"You cannot pour from an empty vessel. These sessions exist so that those who give the most have a place to be restored, witnessed, and held."
Handcrafted items you take home — roller balls, salves, inhalers, tea blends, and more. Created in partnership with Herbalist Without Borders.
A named, evidence-based skill taught and practiced together. Somatic grounding, breathwork, narrative therapy, self-compassion, and more.
Forest bathing, storytelling circles, journaling, candle lighting, land walks. Something experiential that lives beyond the room.
Simple, seasonal, often from the garden. Tea from the land, food that follows what is growing, warmth that is offered without fuss.
Each session includes a card with the practice, recipes, a "did you know," and resources to return to whenever needed.
No agenda beyond your restoration. Come as you are. Leave a little lighter than you arrived.
Sessions run the last Friday of each month. Each one stands alone — come to one or come to all.
Compass Care Circle is free and open to Compass members, Higher Ground Outreach volunteers, and community helpers connected to our work. No experience with any practice is needed. Come as you are. Sessions are held at Vincent House in Georgetown, Delaware.
